Bukhara

The 2500 year old city of Bukhara was one of the most important cities of Central Asia and an important link of the Silk Road. Hightlights of the city are the Kalyan minaret, the fort (the Ark) and the cozy Lyab-i-Hauz where there are countless tea houses and restaurants. Read more >>>

Khiva

Also Khiva is a very old city (Silk-Road-city) is situated in the eastern part of the country, close to the border of Turkmenistan. You can visit here the old walled city with the famous beautiful gate of Ichon Qala. Read more >>>

Samarkand

Everyone should see the Registan once in their life - this is the culmination of Samarkand - one of the world's longest inhabited cities and a pearl in the chain of cities that we now call the Silk Road. Samarkand is of course on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Read more >>>
