Ayuttayah

Ayutthaya is the old capital of the Kingdom of the same name and houses a protected UNESCO area of no less than 400 temples. The city lies just two hours above Bangkok and is very easily reached by public transport. A must see for historical buffs. Read more >>>

Chang-Mai-Temple-Thailand

Chang Mai

According to Thai, Chang Mai is the umbilical cord and the heart of Thailand. Centrally located in the country tourists come here mainly for the visit of some beautiful temples but you can also go on organized so called jungle trip which includes rafting, hiking and smoking opium. Chang Rai a.a.

Capital of the famous Thai triangle in the north of the country but also a perfect place to organize a tour to the surrounding mountain tribes. The city itself is known for his very popular nightmarket where you can buy local stuff but also touristy souvenirs. Read more >>>

Kamphaeng Phet

Kamphaeng Phet is not the most popular tourist attraction in Thailand but it’s a good and nice hub coming for example Myanmar. The city has got it’s own historical park with old ruins and some Buddha statues from the Sukothai era. They stand on the UNESCO site. Read more >>>

In the North of Thailand lies the Nan region which is not so known by (international) tourists. I rented a motorbike and drove to the small villages and visited the beautiful National Park which lies within the province border limits. From here you can travel easily to the Golden Triangle.
