Bialowieza National Park
The Polish part of the enormous patch of forest on the border with neighboring Belarus is called the National Park Bialowieza. An ancient forest where with success the European bison is re-introduced in the wild. But also wolves, lynx and wild boar are roaming here. Read more >>>

Gdansk
Gdansk will always be known as the place where WWII sprouted but this Hanseatic city deserves a second edition with its countless sights. Kalisz and Goluchow
Goluchow can be visited easily on a daytrip from the Polish city of Kalisz. Both are definitely worth a visit. The latter is a middle-size town with a nice renovated center where Goluchow is a beautiful forest-park with a beautiful castle. The facade from this castle is unique and looks like more a painting. Marlbork, Torun and Lodz
If you want to see and learn more about the Teutonic Knights you better go to their former Headquarters in Marlbork; a gigantic red brick castle that is like a dream. Torun, on the contrary, is the city of Copernicus, a beautiful town with nice architecture. Read more >>>

Pieniny National Park (Szczawnica)

Plock and Chelmno

Sierpnica (Riese Project)
The nazi Riese-project was a way of getting away (be safe) for the carpet bombing of the Allies during WW2. The Germans forced laborers (Jews, POW’s and political opponents) to work to make an underground city. One of these unfinished projects you can visit in Sierpnica. Read more >>>

Stepina (Anlage Sud)
Hidden in the central part of the country lies this huge enormous concrete train bunker; Hitler used in WW2 Anlage Sud this (train)station to park his armed train to talk safe and freely with other high placed European leaders. The bunker is now a museum. Read more >>>

Warsaw
