Bolivia has a variety of attractions on all levels, in all areas. Here below you see a list of cities, sites, nature parks, etc. of the sights I visited while travelling in the country. These are divided into an introduction, highlights, history and other (general) information such as transportation, accommodation options and sometimes information about tours you can take.
Amboro National Park (and Bueno Vista)
Bueno Vista has a nice cozy central square surrounded by a variety of small terraces, restaurants and a number of hostels. You can also get a guide (and a tour) to the national park Amboro which is a stone's throw away. Read more >>>

Maididi National Park (Rurrenabaque)
The small town Rurrenabaque is the main "hub" for visiting the nearby Maididi national park. The park is divided by the river Beni and consists of a deep jungle and high mountains. A trip to the famous "macaws" parrots is thereby a must. Read more >>>

La Paz and Sorata
La Paz is one of the world's highest situated cities at 3600 meters. It has numerous sights which a visit to the ruins of Tiwanaku is a must. Also a visit to nearby beautifully situated Sorata is possible. Read more >>>

Potosi
Potosi might not have been El Dorado for the Spaniards, but a decent silver mountain in colonial times. The city is now more of a tourist town with many colonial buildings from that time and a good base for a visit to the salt lake of Uyuni. Read more >>>

Samaipata (El Fuerte)
Samaipata is a village that’s grown the last years of a sleepy village into a real "gringo" village with everything that makes nowadays tourists happy. From here you can and should visit the nearby pre-Inca hillsite of El Fuerte. Read more >>>
