Amboro National Park (and Bueno Vista)
Bueno Vista has a nice cozy central square surrounded by a variety of small terraces, restaurants and a number of hostels. You can also get a guide (and a tour) to the national park Amboro which is a stone's throw away. Read more >>>

Maididi National Park (Rurrenabaque)
The small town Rurrenabaque is the main "hub" for visiting the nearby Maididi national park. The park is divided by the river Beni and consists of a deep jungle and high mountains. A trip to the famous "macaws" parrots is thereby a must. Read more >>>

La Paz and Sorata
La Paz is one of the world's highest situated cities at 3600 meters. It has numerous sights which a visit to the ruins of Tiwanaku is a must. Also a visit to nearby beautifully situated Sorata is possible. Read more >>>

Potosi
Potosi might not have been El Dorado for the Spaniards, but a decent silver mountain in colonial times. The city is now more of a tourist town with many colonial buildings from that time and a good base for a visit to the salt lake of Uyuni. Read more >>>

Samaipata (El Fuerte)
